Ordinal Indicator sources high quality materials from around the globe for our pieces and all of our finishes are done by hand in our studio when possible. color, grain variation, patterns & veining will vary. We offer samples for serious inquires and also sample kits for purchase.

Wood

we source a variety of kiln dried domestic hardwoods and all of our slabs are from salvaged trees that have needed to come down for various reasons. We offer an array of bleached,

stone

The majority of our stone is imported from Italian quarries and we try to buy domestic when we can but species like white alabaster and travertine are primarily mined in italy. we polish our stones to an almost glass-like finish to insure durability and a touch so smooth you could yelp.

metals

our metals are either patina’d or polished then sealed with a polyurethane lacquer. Metals can be left unfinished and they will create a natural patina on their own over time.

leather

we use vegetable tanned leather from a Utah supplier which is left raw or colored with natural dyes. Leather will age with time, sunlight and care so coloring will grow deeper as it ages.
