Swell Studio focuses on the design and fabrication of contemporary furniture and lighting. The studio was founded by Mike White in 2017 while residing in NYC and is currently located in New York’s Hudson Valley. As a lifelong snowboarder, surfer & outdoorsman Mike’s work is inspired by the shapes, textures, and our connection to the natural world. We create contemporary pieces that are handcrafted with time-honored techniques from exceptional materials and elevated with artful, unexpected details.

It’s our ongoing goal to create with a respect for our environment. In addition to incorporating studio remnants into our new works, we’ve also teamed up with the One Tree Planted non-profit to offset our carbon footprint.
